my story in branding

Why brand development matters
My journey into branding started when business owners began approaching me as a producer with questions about creating media content.

But content requires more than simply “hiring a guy with a camera.” You can find a photographer, a videographer, or hire an entire production company.

That’s how I created White Mirror Branding:

deep coaching for business owners,

a Brand Framework,

and basic moodboards

that become the creative foundation of a project

Think of me as your brand director. Together, we define the style, atmosphere, and language of your brand so that any photographer or production company can open these two documents and immediately understand

what kind of film we’re making here.

Warm regards,
Kátya Nánai

The problem is that business owners often have no idea what to film. They need clients. And they think they need content to get them.

In the world of major advertising players, a brand book and marketing strategy come first. Then PR and creative agencies step in, and only after that does the brief reach producers and production companies.

Because before we start shooting, we need to understand who we are creating this content for and why. That determines the creative concept and the direction of the brand.

What style? What atmosphere? What message? What is your brand really about?

But what if the client isn’t Nike, Nivea, Danone, or a giant corporation? They don’t need a 200-page brand book for €10,000, piles of bureaucratic documents, and layers of approvals. They need one person they can discuss everything with and a more compact, accessible tool that brings the entire brand together into one coherent conceptual and visual direction.
You’re in the right place if this sounds familiar
    • The outer image no longer reflects what’s inside. Your brand needs to rethink its positioning and create a fresh new image that reflects your business values and goals.
    • You’ve lost clarity. You’re not sure how your brand looks from the outside, and there’s no time to stop and reflect.
    • You want to attract a different type of client, but you’re still spending time talking to the wrong people and explaining what you do and what you don’t do.
    • You work with different video, photo, design and web specialists, each with their own style. The results may look great, but your brand lacks a consistent visual style and format.
    • You’re afraid of wasting money on media production because you don’t know exactly what to shoot, how much content you actually need, and what might simply end up unused.
    • You’re not always sure whether a piece of content is right for your brand. Deciding what to publish is difficult, but knowing what not to publish is just as important.
